Amala is a Senior Associate in the Intellectual Property department in our Dubai office, UAE
Amala has extensive experience in commercial agencies and comprehensive IP legal services such as IP strategy & enforcement, IP portfolio management, anti-counterfeiting strategic planning, infringement, complex unfair competition and IP litigation, online enforcement and domain names disputes.
She is experienced in dealing with cases involving various types of IP Rights, including trademarks, industrial designs and models, copyrights, patents, plant varieties, domain names and trade secrets. Amala is also experienced in drafting and negotiating various types of IP and Commercial Agreements in addition that she is experienced in advising technology, financial and media giants on IP aspects of their transactional matters.
Amala regularly assists clients who are specialized in developing online platforms in the preparation and negotiation of their IP and Platform Agreements, including License Agreement, Platform Operation Agreement, Platform’s Terms & Conditions, Confidentiality Agreements, Assignment Agreements in relation to developed IP rights.
Prior to joining BSA, Amala worked at one of the leading Intellectual Property firms and gained more than ten years of extensive experience in the field of Intellectual Property laws in the Middle East and North Africa with an emphasis on copyrights, trademarks and plant varieties protection.
She was admitted to Jordan Bar Association in 2009 and holds a bachelor’s degree in law as well as an LL.M in Intellectual Property Laws, both from the University of Jordan.
