With eight years’ experience in the Middle East and GCC region, Catherine is an Associate in the Corporate Practice of our Muscat office in the Sultanate of Oman. She has advised various public agencies and private entities on drafting and negotiating engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts, design and engineering consultancy agreements, and has assisted a number of governmental and semi-governmental clients in Oman with contract standardisation projects.
Catherine also advises overseas companies on foreign direct investment laws, local and cross border M&As, distribution, franchising, agency, and administration procedures that can have an impact on setting up operations in Oman. Her expertise extends to advising on various employment laws and immigration-related issues.
Prior to joining BSA, Catherine practiced for five years at an international law firm in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and in Muscat, Oman. Before moving to the Gulf region, she worked as a legal advisor to private sector companies, providing commercial and international law advice and dealing with contractual negotiations in Poland, Syria and Jordan. Catherine holds an LL.M. from Jagiellonian University and is a Doctoral candidate at the Institute of Law of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
