Ken has in excess of thirty years post qualification experience including almost fifteen years’ worth in the UAE. Ken has a broad range of corporate/commercial experience with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, company structuring and restructuring, joint ventures and infrastructure and real estate projects.
Ken has significant experience and is highly regarded for his practical, commercially driven, solution-based approach to the advice he issues and the implementation and execution thereof.
In addition to having acted for senior members of the ruling families of two of the Emirates, Ken has represented the government of one of the northern Emirates in several high value projects including the granting of a concession for the operation and development of its port, the development and construction of a water desalination plant, and several substantial real estate developments.
Ken has advised numerous established and entrepreneurial businesses on their market entry into the UAE and assisted in all aspects of the structuring, establishment, and implementation of such market entry.
Ken was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 1991 having obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree and thereafter a Bachelor of Laws Degree. He has Right of Appearance in the High Court and Constitutional Courts of South Africa and is a member of the Law Society of South Africa. Prior to relocating to the UAE in 2008, Ken was a partner in a law firm in South Africa.
