Bassel is a senior associate with our litigation department, based in our DIFC office.
He has been a member of the Beirut Bar Association since 2013 and has over 9 years of experience in private practice in Lebanon, UAE, KSA, and the wider GCC region. In this time he has handled various types of complex litigation disputes pertaining to civil and commercial matters, such as shareholder disputes subject to minority and majority rights, arbitrary use of rights, fictitious dividend distribution, real estate, employment, insurance, and inheritance.
His areas of specialism are predominantly corporate, commercial and civil litigation, real estate, insurance (both contentious and non-contentious). Bassel also regularly attends to clients through assisting them in establishing companies and drafting all related documents such as by-laws, minutes of meetings and shareholders' agreements.
His broad experience in handling cases before the courts and conducting legal research on laws and precedents constitute an important factor while negotiating and drafting agreements in a way that serves the client
interest and mitigate risks towards the latter.
Bassel previously gained invaluable experience advising on property development in Lebanon and UAE, consulting with developers, sellers, and buyers on different real estate transactions and legal provisions.
He graduated from Sagesse University in Beirut and obtained his Master of Advanced Studies in comparative law.
